Solving construction problems requires knowledge, experience, and understanding of a client’s long-term goals. Our case studies show how Calahan Construction uses these skills to deliver high-quality results.
Client: RoadRunner HVAC
Problem: The client needed to expand their operations to include a new facility that would be 11,000 square feet. This new facility would give them more space to create and deliver residential HVAC solutions to their growing customer base. Their new building had to include a fabrication shop and equipment storage areas along with offices, conference rooms, and restrooms.
Solution: Their architect reached out to us for a bid on the project. We submitted a bid and negotiated it with the business owner. Then we used our masonry construction services to create a masonry and steel building with a wooden roof. The new building fits all the necessary rooms and spaces, including equipment storage spaces and a fabrication shop.
Client: Johns Manville
Problem: The client outgrew their current laboratory and surrounding facilities. They needed to expand their building and install new equipment without disrupting business operations.
Solution: Working with an international team of experts, Calahan Construction completed the addition and equipment installation. Our detail-oriented approach helped us gain a clear understanding of what Johns Manville needed for immediate success while also keeping an eye on future goals.
Client: Glove Wagon
Problem: Our client needed a warehouse and new facility to expand their PPE business. To generate more income and help offset operating costs, they needed additional space to lease out.
Solution: Using a design-build approach, Calahan Construction partnered with Glove Wagon to create a facility that met all of their needs. By working directly with their leadership, we created a space that met their functional requirements, budget, and timeline.
Client: GFL
Problem: The client’s facility required exterior remodels, repairs, and improvements without affecting their operations. GFL experiences tremendous traffic at their site, up to 500 trucks per day, making logistics especially difficult.
Solution: Calahan Construction built our services around their operations to deliver exceptional service without compromising safety or quality. We have worked with GFL on numerous projects during our long relationship.
Client: Denver County Schools
Problem: School remodels, additions, and mechanical upgrades require tight schedules. If the project ran long, we risked adversely affecting the community and our client. Classrooms and learning facilities needed to be ready in 10 weeks or less.
Solution: Calahan Construction created an efficient plan to not only remodel the educational facilities, but also to revamp their mechanical systems. Our dedication to budget and time management resulted in a successful project that provided enriched learning environments. We have been a trusted partner of Denver Public Schools for more than a decade.
Client: Robert Mann Rugs
Problem: After being forced to leave their previous facility because of an eminent domain issue, our client needed a new facility. Without the time to construct new space, Robert Mann Rugs needed considerable remodeling at an existing building to continue running their one-of-a-kind cleaning and waste removal process. Because they work on museum-quality carpets, security and quality control were of the utmost concern.
Solution: Thanks to a close working relationship with the client, we efficiently designed a new layout that made their operations run smoothly. By following the most stringent safety rules and security protocols, we ensured the client’s responsibility to their customers was met.
