“Calahan Construction Services performed a complete renovation for the Regional Transportation District’s (RTD) Maintenance of Way (MOW) building in Denver, Colorado. The MOW building was a unique project for RTD as the building was partially demolished and then abandoned for many years. Calahan fulfilled a complete tenant finish and renovation on the 33,000-square-foot building. The build-out required installing all-new utilities, electrical and mechanical systems, roof and mezzanine, landscaping, retaining pond, and parking lot. The value of the renovation totaled $4.7 million.
Calahan’s forces worked diligently to complete the project on time despite many obstacles. They focused on providing a quality project for RTD. They were careful in their planning, management, and organization of the project. Moreover, while the process was structured, Calahan was flexible and responsive to project changes and unforeseen conditions.
